Turtle Island Earth Celebration
We Are Community Youth Collaborative

Educational Journey
Founded in 2019, as Community Youth Collaborative--Turtle Island Earth Celebration is transforming along with youth to honor Mother Earth in fun and joyful ways.

Turtle Island Earth Celebration is an educational program to promote STEAM through extended and enrichment learning time. We are creating conditions to work with youth to learn through stories-- and to tell our stories. Turtle Island Earth Celebration is a Chautauqua of the humanities, visual arts, performing arts, and trans-disciplinary education! Every year, students will have the opportunity to co-create Turtle Island Earth Celebration through a Parade & Chautauqua. Today's students are motivated to grow food, start their own businesses, and celebrate their community through living education. We are Community!

Indigenous Worldviews Community Healing Garden: Inclusion and Instruction for all students.
Community Youth Collaborative's project has met all of our criteria for funding. In collaboration with our Federal partners: the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Geological Survey; the Inter-Tribal Student Services has awarded the CYC's project proposal to support inclusion and instructions for all students to learn Indigenous Worldviews.
